The Dalinset affix was established in 1975 and we have
been actively involved in Italian Greyhounds since 1997.
Our first IG was Giorgio – Fishersmead Pipit at Dalinset (1RCC)
who was soon joined in 1999 by our foundation bitch

We now have 11 italians, 6 of which are homebred.
All out IG's live and our puppies are reared, in the home and have enriched our lives in so many ways.
We have been delighted with our many splendid successes in the show ring. Giorgio gained his stud book number in 2000 with a RCC.
Our first champion Santo (Ch Hanjy Helation at Dalinset)
has
9CC's
(including DCC Crufts 2001 and BIS Italian Greyhound Club Ch Show 2003) 4 BOB 4RCCs and a Gp4.

also did very well winning 2 CCs including BOB at Winsdor 2002.

Santo and Rosina’s daughter Luna (Dalinset Canzone Alla Luna – born June 2002) had a very successful show career with 2 CCs, 1BOB, 8 RCCs and was RBIS at the IGC CH show in 2004.
– She was very unfortunate in missing out on her title, being campaigned at the same time as the current breed record holder.

We welcomed in 2003 Artmeis Christopher Robin at Dalinset from Jo Amsel (Artmeis) who was an interesting combination of american, UK and south African bloodlines being sired by Multi CH Necku Stradivarius (Finland) .
Despite being only lightly shown he gained his stud book in 2004 winning a reserve CC.

In 2004 Stella was mated to the lovely dog Hestia Nemo by Myroak – again an interesting and useful combination of UK and imported bloodlines.
This mating produced our beautiful first homebred Champion Ch. Dalinset Dorabella. Dora gained her stud book entry at only 6 months old winning a RCC, and went on to gain her title at only 22 months old. She currently has 8CCs 7BOB and 5RCCs. It is hoped that she will have a litter in 2009.

The following year we seized the opportunity to welcome
Bertie;Ch. Artmeis Chierichetto at Dalinset from Jo Amsel.
He is out of the US import Artmeis Scintilla di La Scala (Bred by Lilian Barber, CA, USA) and by Artmeis Fly by Night and is a mix of US, UK and SA breeding. He has 4CCs, 2BOB and 3 RCCs. He will be part of our forthcoming breeding plans.

We again chose “Nemo” to sire our next litter in 2007 from Luna . This was another successful mating producing the winning sisters Angela (Dalinset Benedetta) and Gloria

(Ch. Dalinset Canzonetta) Born as recently as January 2006 – Angela already has 1CC with BOB, and Gloria has some spectacular wins in 2008 having gained a first CC and BOB at Windsor 2008 under Annette Oliver and then going on to win BEST IN TOY GROUP – a real day to remember. Despite only being lightly shown in 2008 she soon gained her title at driffield and currently has 3CCs all with BOB, and 4 RCCs.

We decided to mate stella again and this time chose the fabulous dog
Ch. AM Ch Artmeis Simone di La Scala (Simon).
This mating produced a beautiful pair of pied puppies – one blue and one fawn. We have kept the pretty Blue and White bitch Lily(Dalinset Pamina) who has just made her show debut and made a promising start,

Although we breed only a small number of litters we are absolutely committed to responsible and careful breeding of strong, healthy puppies who are sound and true to type. We fervently believe that it is wrong to knowingly breed from any dog that is affected by, or known to carry a gene for any heritable disease or condition. We fully endorse and support the research being carried out into epilepsy in the breed by the IG rescue charity in conjunction with the Animal Health Trust.
