VIEBRIN MELITA OF HANJY.

(CH. TAMORETTA MIDNITE MARAUDER OF VIEBRIN X SALVO SAMSARA OF VIEBRIN)
Viebrin Melita of Hanjy, Melly Moo, My Moo, Smelly Moo, moo, it really doesn't matter what I call her, she'll only react if she chooses to. She was my first foray into Italian Greyhounds.
Following several phone calls I found Violetta Cantrill who had a litter of 3 bitches so I went to see them.
A lovely red and white, a fawn and white and a black with white trim which even I could see was somewhat larger than the others.
I was given the choice of the fawn pied and the black, well, what can I say, I'd fallen in love so my 'value for money (get 25% extra free) dog' came to live in Manchester.
I wanted to show even though I knew she was too big, although never coarse, and for her size she did fairly well. I went on to breed from her and from 3 litters I kept two, Saffy who due to an accident at 5 months old was never shown, and Hetty (Hanjy Hettitia) who did not gain great honours but did well enough.
That last litter also produced Hanjy Hotshot who was shown very lightly but managed CC and BOB at Crufts along with being in the last 6 in the Toy Group!
Any how back to Moom, I have never known such a devious greedy dog who would move hell and high water to get an illicit crust.
In her time she has managed to jump up onto my (high) work top and eat a couple of Christmas cakes, a stollen, and a chocolate orange along with numerous other things that have slipped my mind.
Her latest 'treat' was four packets of fruit Tic Tacs!
She will occasionally share her booty but only if she has to.
The long and the short of it is that she is both the best and the worst dog I have ever had and I would not be without her for the world and feel privileged that she allows me to share her king sized bed with her and her family.
